blue fire

as the blanket of darkness becomes flame
as the land falls beneath the rising sun
all the walls around me have turned to dust
and a hundred dreams have become one

as the blue fire lights the eastern sky
on the wind the golden seeds are blown
together we will stand in this fertile field
where the harvest of desire has been sown

through red ochre earth we’ll walk in time
down that winding road to where we’ll lie
when the sun is setting deep in the west
to the light of day we shall close our eyes
